EVENTS: Capacity Building Training Successfully Concluded: GPP Ambassadors Receive Their Certificates

The GPP2ADRION Capacity Building Training Programme on Green Public Procurement (GPP) has successfully come to an end, marking the conclusion of a six-week learning journey designed to strengthen knowledge, practical skills, and transnational cooperation on sustainable public procurement across the Adriatic–Ionian region.

Held from 11 March to 15 April 2026, the programme delivered 20 hours of online training, bringing together participants from across the ADRION area. The training combined an overview of the European policy and legal framework on Green Public Procurement with practical tools, operational methodologies, case studies, and interactive discussions aimed at supporting the effective integration of environmental and circular economy criteria into public procurement procedures.

The programme concluded with a final assessment, allowing participants to evaluate the knowledge and competencies acquired throughout the course. The closing session also provided an opportunity to reflect on the overall learning experience, exchange feedback, and discuss how the skills developed during the programme can be applied within participants’ organisations and day-to-day professional activities.

Following the successful completion of the training and final examination, the GPP2ADRION partnership has officially issued the Statements of Participation and Examination Achievement to all eligible participants. Those who met the required evaluation standards have also been formally recognised as GPP Ambassadors, receiving the dedicated GPP Ambassador Certificate.

The recognition of this new network of GPP Ambassadors represents an important milestone for the project. Equipped with enhanced knowledge and practical competencies, they will contribute to promoting Green Public Procurement within their institutions and territories, supporting the wider adoption of sustainable procurement practices throughout the Adriatic–Ionian region.

The conclusion of the Capacity Building Training Programme therefore marks not only the successful completion of one of GPP2ADRION’s key project activities, but also the beginning of a lasting community of professionals committed to advancing greener, more circular, and more resilient public procurement systems across the ADRION area.
